Appearance
Shells of ''Lithophaga lithophaga'' can reach a length of about 8.5 centimetres . They are yellowish or brownish, almost cylindrical, rounded at both ends. The interior is whitish iridescent purple with a pink tinge. These shells are relatively thin.
