Mountain Buzzard

Buteo oreophilus

The Mountain Buzzard is a bird of prey that lives in montane forests in East Africa and forests and plantations in South Africa. The latter population is sometimes considered a separate species, the Forest Buzzard.
Forest buzzard On my way to work I saw this beauty perched on the phone wires, I did a quick turnaround, grabbed a camera and luckily it was still there. Allowed me to take a few shots before it flew off again. We get a lot of raptors around here but rarely do I see them this close! :) Buteo oreophilus,Geotagged,Mountain Buzzard,South Africa, birds, raptors
