Geckolepis typica

Geckolepis typica is a species of lizard in the family Gekkonidae. It is endemic to Madagascar. Geckos in the genus Geckolepis have large scales that can easily come off in patches if the lizard is grasped by a predator, thus allowing the lizard to escape.
