Appearance

The caterpillars of this species are off-white and sluggish. The adult moth has white forewings, each with a broken dark brown line across the middle, and a ragged dark brown submarginal band. The hindwings are white shading to brown at the margins. The wingspan is about 2 cm.

The larvae live in a shelter consisting of foodplant leaves joined with silk, lined with a waxy white powder.

The caterpillars feed on various species of Gum Trees ( Eucalyptus species, MYRTACEAE ).
