Grape Midge

Vitisiella brevicauda is a species of gall midge (gall gnat) of the Cecydomyiidae family. Globular, irregular, usually red swellings on leaf, tendril, or flower. This is the most commonly reared species from these galls. Galls sometimes cover so much surface that leaves and flower parts are deformed.
