Appearance

Herbs, stem hairy. Leaves 4-6 x 2 cm, ovate to linear-oblong or obovate. Spikes 2 x 0.7 cm, 2-5 together, axillary, sessile; sterile bracts 4 x 2 mm, elliptic, narrowly winged on one side; fertile bracts 3 x 2 mm, obovate, broadly winged on either sides, emarginate, pubescent; bracteoles similar to bracts. Flowers small, densely packed; sepals linear, acuminate, hyaline, hairy; corolla 4 mm long, upper lip entire, white; upper anthers hairy. Capsule 2.5 mm long, glabrous; seeds orbicular, rugose, brown.
