Appearance
Taygetis rufomarginata is a large butterfly with a wingspan of about 70mm, with an angular forewing apex and pointed hindwings at n43. The upper side is greenish ocher with a red marginal band on the hindwings.The reverse is pink ocher to coppery ocher or purplish brown streaked with brown at the edge of the discal area with in the postdiscal area a line of ocellus with white pupils, one brown, the others ocher and a black close to the anal angle of the hindwings.
