Naming

There are two subspecies. A.a.parvulus to extreme N Chile ) and A.a.peruviunus

Distribution

They are found in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.

Status

They have a stable population and are classed as of least concern by the IUCN red list. They are found in some conservation areas. The IUCN has not yet found any threat to them.
