Distribution

Allophyes alfaroi occurs on the Iberian Peninsula and a small stripe north of the Pyrenees in France (transition zone to Allophyes oxyacanthae).

Behavior

The moths occur in autumn (October to December). The egg hibernates and the larva lives from March to May/June (according to altitude).

Food

The larvae feed on woody species of Rosaceae, especially Crataegus, Prunus, and Pyrus
