Appearance

This 2,5-3mm long species has the typical general habitus of Scraptiidae. It has black elytra with one or two yellow-brown marks on each. The humeral marks are almost always present with apical marks often faded or absent. In extreme cases the marks may be enlarged to the point of leaving only the suture and a cross band in the center black, in which case the pronotum may also be largely yellow. The basal antenna segments and the mouth parts are usually yellow, even on otherwise darker specimen.

Naming

This species was previously known as Anaspis humeralis and may still be featured under that name in older references.
