Nganson bronzeback

Dendrelaphis ngansonensis

A large species of bronzeback reaching 1.5 metres long which can be found in several south-east Asian countries.

Appearance

This snake can be identified by the broad, black stripe immediately behind the eye, which quickly tapers out at the shoulder.
The dorsum is medium brown with pale and dark brown mottling and some scales might have blue edges.
The underside of the head and body is typically cream.

Found in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand

Habitat

Mainly diurnal in habits, and is strongly arboreal, inhabits various types of forest from the lowlands to at least 1500 metres.
