Appearance

There are two subspecies, ''P. flava'' subsp. ''flava'' is a shrub which grows up to 2 metres in height and has leaves that are 2 to 10 mm long and 1 to 6 mm wide. The yellow inflorescences have 2 to 4 green bracts which are larger than the leaves. The other subspecies, ''P. flava'' subsp. ''dichotoma'' grows to 1 metre high and has white flowers and leathery leaves.

Distribution

The species occurs in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
