The black-throated antbird is a species of passerine bird in the family Thamnophilidae. It is the only species in the genus "Myrmophylax". It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela.

Habitat

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and heavily degraded former forest.
