Appearance

Within the genus it belongs to the group of species with trifoliolate leaves, whose stipules have the almost whole free part. The inflorescences are terminal, more or less dense, multiflora and racemiform. The flowers, subsentadas or short pedicels, have a corolla of 6-7.5 mm, a little shorter than the calyx, being the puberulo-glandulous and pink banner and the whitish-yellowish wings and keel. The calyx has simple and glandulous hairs. The fruits, included in the calyx or slightly exserted, are puberulo-glandular and contain 6-8 tuberculated seeds.

In Spanish it is known as "melosa de arenas".

Distribution

Its native range is Canary Islands, SW. Spain, Morocco to Western Sahara.

Habitat

Sand dunes.
