Appearance

Limonium puberulum is a small perennial herb (10-15 cm), with shortly petiolated, oval leaves, with ciliated edges. It produces small inflorescences, of about 6 cm, with flowering stems and non-winged peduncles. The flower calyx has a purplish blue color and the corolla is white.

Naming

In English, sea lavender.

Distribution

Limonium puberulum is a canary endemism, restricted to the eastern islands.

Status

This species is included in the Canarian Catalog of Protected Species as a species of interest to canarian ecosystems.
