Bombus veteranus

The Bombus veteranus is a rare bumblebee in key countries of habitat nowadays. The workers are black in color, covered in hair ranging from white to yellow. The brisket is always black in color, the head is quite long.

Appearance

A mature colony consists of about 60 to 130 workers. The Bombus veteranus is polyphagous and can be found on different plant families. The Queen is 16-19, the worker and the 10-16 male 12-15 mm long. The wings of the queen have a maximum span of 33 mm. The wingspan of the workers is 21-28 mm.
