It has a wide distribution between Europe and the Middle East. It feeds on ''Daucus carota sativus'', ''Petroselinum crispum'', ''Pastinaca sativa sativa'', ''Pastinaca sativa'', ''Conium maculatum'', and ''Pimpinella saxifraga''.
