Sphragisticus nebulosus is a Seed bug know from large parts of the Holarctic, but found more scarcely in the more southern regions.

Appearance

Macropterous, 4.2-5.5mm. Antennae dark brown, with segment 2 sometimes a bit paler. Head black, scutellum black with two white streaks in a "V" shape near the tip. Margins of pronotum broadly pale with some long black hairs emerging from a blackened base. Superficially resembles species of the genus Peritrechus.

Naming

The taxonomy of the superfamily Lygaeioidea is somewhat disputed with some authors preferring to keep most species in one family Lygaeidae (sensu lato) and others splitting these into many, many separate families. Depending on this, Sphragisticus is either classified as family Lygaeidae or Rhyparochromidae.
