Appearance
The fans are as wide as high, up to 50 cm tall. The main stem is solid in the basal part, gutter-like or tubular in the upper parts. The coenenchyme is white, red-brown, or bright red. the tentacles are white. The sclerites of the outer layer of coenenchyme are small spindles, colourless or pale yellow; those of the medulla are white.Naming
