A fungus that produces small rust-colored circular growths with a central pit on the undersides of various Arisaema species, Arum species, and Peltandra virginica (all in Aracea) leaves which are its host plants.

Distribution

Occurs over most of the eastern United States from the prairie states to the Atlantic Coast. Also a few records from Ontario, Quebec, PEI, and Nova Scotia in Canada and in Mexico and Columbia.
