Appearance
Adult: thorax blackish; forewing gray, variously shaded with red; lines fine, blackish if present; whitish patch at apex; black reniform spot a vertical dash with triangular blackish shade beyond it, widening toward outer marginhindwing dark brownish. Wingspan 30-35 mm.

The main flight period appears to be April to September.Food
