Dicyphus globulifer is one of the small, slender plant bugs (Miridae) in the tribe Dicyphini. This species is bound to Red and White Campion (Silene dioica and S. latifolia) for its zoophytophagous development.

Appearance

Adults of both sexes are macropterous and reach about 3.6-4mm in size.

Reproduction

Adults overwinter in leaf litter or other hideouts near the habitat of their food plants and start a new generation n early spring. As adults are found all year it is assumed that there are multiple generations per year.
