Hypomyces luteovirens

Hypomyces luteovirens

Hypomyces luteovirens is a species of parasitic fungi that attacks fungi of the genus Russula.
Hypomyces luteovirens? ID tentative. Found this beautiful Hypomyces growing on what I think is Lactarius paradoxus. At a dense mixed forest edge, in pine and oak leaf litter. Gordon County, GA, US. October 2020. Could be H. lateritius or H. luteovirens. The growth pattern seems like the former, but the color seems more like the latter.
