Fringelip Mullet
Crenimugil crenilabis
A silvery greenish-olive mullet becoming paler below, with indistinct narrow stripes along the scale rows, pale yellow pectoral fins and a dark spot at the pectoral-fin base.
They feed on algae and detritus on surface of sand. Up to 40 cm of size.
Indo-Pacific: Red Sea and East Africa to the Line and Tuamoto islands, north to southern Japan, south to Lord Howe Island.
