Nanophyes marmoratus

Nanophyes marmoratus (Goeze, 1777) is a tiny weevil (1,4-2,1 mm) that lives on Loosstrife (Lythrum salicaria and Lythrum hyssopifolia), where its larvae develop within the ovules of the plant.

Distribution

Its range covers all of Europe east to western Siberia.
