''Arta statalis'', the posturing arta moth, is a species of snout moth in the genus ''Arta''. It is found in North America, including Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
Posturing Arta Moth - Arta statalis TL: 10 mm. Reddish brown forewings (very worn) with two tan/yellow lines crossing them. This moth was resting with its forelegs pushed up.

Habitat: Attracted to a 395 nm LED light in a semi-rural area.

Naming

It was described by Grote, in 1875, and is the type species of its genus.
