Pareophora pruni

Pareophora pruni (Linnaeus, 1758) is a Sawfly (Symphyta, Tenthredinidae) known from large parts of Europe.
The larvae develop on Prunus and carry split thorns on their body, quite similar to the larvae of some other sawflies such as Periclista spp.
