...measuring between 9 and 16 millimeters, and is characterized by the narrowness of its elytra that are reddish brown, like the legs, while the body is black with conspicuous yellow markings that on the thorax define two collars and in the abdomen broad bands. It takes two years to complete its life cycle.

Its distribution includes the North of Africa and the southern region of the Iberian Peninsula, although it seems that it is extending towards the north.
