Humped silver orb spider

Leucauge dromedaria

"Leucauge dromedaria" is one of the long-jawed orb weaver spiders. A medium to large sized orb weaving spider, with a body length up to 15 mm long. Male to 6 mm. This species has a second pair of "humps" on the abdomen.
Silver and diamond within the dark They may not be the rarest of spiders, but who can deny their beauty? Nature's brilliant, tiny jewels glittering from within the foliage. The markings and colour of the abdomen is very special.

I love that in this image one can see the finest filament of silk reaching from her spinnerets on the underside of her abdomen, connecting her to the web.
