Distribution

Range on the Pacific slope extends from southern Sinaloa, Mexico, to south-central Honduras, and on the Atlantic slope from southern Tamaulipas south through the Yucatan Peninsula to the northeastern coast of Honduras. It also occurs throughout most of Petn, Guatemala, the northern Yucatan Peninsula, and Belize. It occurs at elevations from near sea level to around 1,040 meters.
