Distribution

This species is endemic to the Yucatan Peninsula. It is more or less continuously distributed throughout the northern half of the peninsula in Mexico, and occurs in the south as isolated populations on the savannas of Petén, Guatemala, and Belize. It occurs at elevations between sea level and 300 m asl.
