Dinophasma braggi is a species of Phasmid from the family of Aschiphasmatidae.
Stick Insect, Phasmid - Dinophasma braggi This is a male Phasmid of the species Dinophasma braggi.
When I saw it, I didn't pay too much attention to it as it is 'damaged' with 2 legs missing.
After the trip, when I was looking for the ID, only then I realized this was a very rare species.

Naming

When it was first described in the year 2004, it was placed under a new genus of Xylobistus (Xylobistus braggi) but subsequently change to the genus of Dinophasma by P.E. Bragg in the year 2005. The species was named after P.E.Bragg

Distribution

Endemic to the island of Borneo.
