Dinophasma braggi is a species of Phasmid from the family of Aschiphasmatidae.

After the trip, when I was looking for the ID, only then I realized this was a very rare species. The description of this species was based on old specimen materials kept in the National Museum of Vienna and tagged as paralectotype of Phaeophasma alatum. Naming

When it was first described in the year 2004, it was placed under a new genus of Xylobistus (Xylobistus braggi) but subsequently change to the genus of Dinophasma by P.E. Bragg in the year 2005. The species was named after P.E.Bragg

Distribution

Endemic to the island of Borneo.
