Paropsis tasmanica

Paropsis tasmanica is a species of leaf eating beetle in the tribe Paropsini, sharing the feature of hemispherical appearance. Paropsis translates from Latin to 'dish' or bowl, and like cocinellidae, they an easily defend against ants by withdrawing in the same manner of a tortiose.
