Perak Horned Toad

Xenophrys aceras

The Perak horned toad, also Perak spadefoot toad or Malayan horned frog is a species of amphibian in the Megophryidae family found in Peninsular Malaysia and Thailand, and possibly in Indonesia. Its common name refers to its type locality, Bukit Besar in Perak state, Malaysia.

Some authorities place all Xenophrys species into the genus Megophrys.
"You looking at me?" Despite its oh-so-angry appearance, this frog just relied on its camouflage to such an extent that I could take photos from a couple of inches away and it never even twitched. Geotagged,Malaysia,Perak horned toad,Winter,Xenophrys aceras
