Anthobium unicolor (Marsham 1802) is a small (3-3,5mm) Rove Beetle (Staphylinidae). The genus is currently placed in the subfamily Omaliinae, tribe Anthophagini.
In Europe there are around fifteen species in the genus Anthobium, most being tricky to identify, also viz species from other genera in the Anthophagini.

Distribution

Anthobium unicolor has a wide, but scattered distribution range over Europe. In western Central Europe it is quite common but almost certainly under recorded due to size and other factors.
