Appearance

Length of male : 71 - 105 mm
Length of female : 88 - 118 mm

Male with a spectrum of 3 colour forms - viridis, dispar and brown form.
The viridis form has body and legs green with red, orange apices to the femora. Basal half or whole of fore femora often red. Dispar specimens have dark green longitudinal stripe running down the head, anterior 3/4 of mesonotum, metanotum and abdominal tergites 2-7 as well as the meso and metasternum. Legs green with middle of tibia and femur brown and apices of femur red or brown. The brown form has the posterior of head, pronotum, mesonotum, most parts of abdominal tergites with the femora and tibiae mostly brown. The anterior of the head and spines green, the basal and pre-apical part of the femora and tibiae as well as the centre of tergites 2-7 green. The apices of the femora and tibiae yellowish red. The centre of the profemur between the green base and apex bright red.
