Blue winged lantern bug

Pyrops intricata

Pyrops intricata has brown snout with yellow tip. Its wings with very colourful of green with yellow veins markings/lines and yellow spots all over.

Contrary to popular beliefs that their snout glows at night, hence their name, Lantern Bugs, that is not the case. The snout does not glow or give out light at night.
