GILLS adnexed, close; colored as cap when young, purplish or violet when bruised. STIPE 6-11 cm x 1.0-2 cm at top, club-shaped; colored as cap or a brighter lilac; dry, silky, fibrillose with the pallid veil remnants, staining purplish when handled.
