Appearance

Paropsis carnosa is a large hemispherical beetle with plain pink pronotum and hints of three dark transverse bands across the elytra in the strongly marked specimens.

Distribution

It has a distribution along the southern part of Australia.

Status

Not threatened. Not common

Behavior

Diurnal. Feeding openly on leaves.

Habitat

P. carnosa seem to be associated with mallee gums and desert conditions.
