Appearance
With a size between 32 and 40 mm, the white forehead hectic are among the largest grasshoppers present in Western Europe. The insect is quite stocky and has a brown-gray coloring. The wings have white streaks and far exceed the length of the body. The female's ovipositor sometimes reached nearly 2 cm. In France, Cliff Dectique goes north to the departments of Loire, Rhône, Cantal, Lot, and the Atlantic coast of the Charente-Maritime and Maine-et-Loire.
