Distribution

Brunei Darussalam; Indonesia (Kalimantan, Sumatera); Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak); Thailand

Habitat

The species can be found on a wide variety of low gradient forest streams and rivers, including those in highly disturbed forest and in Sarawak it has been found to be common on a stream flowing through an acacia plantation (R. Dow, pers. comm. 2011). It can be found up to an altitude of at least 1,100 m where suitable habitat occurs.
