Xenocarcinus tuberculatus

Xenocarcinus tuberculatus

Xenocarcinus tuberculatus is a crab in the Xenocarcinus genus.
The whole carapace of this specimen is very smooth with porcelain brightness. Rostrum strongly pointed, the horns not widening anteriorly. A pair of short, curved lines of hairs on the upper side above and in front of the eyes, these being the only hairs to be found upon the carapace.
There are nine tubercles upon the carapace, resembling those described by White, but the one found upon the intestinal region is widely double headed in our specimen, the heads being placed one on each side. Chelipeds and legs are not nodular, contrary to the descriptions previously given, all segments being cylindrical and smooth. (Sakai, 1935)
