Habitat

Schools are found above branching corals along upper margins of clear lagoon and outer reef slopes. Often associated with branching Acropora.

Reproduction

Oviparous, distinct pairing during breeding . Eggs are demersal and adhere to the substrate . Males guard and aerate the eggs.
