Emperor Cicada I know this picture is a bit ridiculous, there were many of them that were attracted by the light of the room I was staying at Similajau National Park. Besides this Emperor Cicada, there were at least 3 other varieties of Cicada, loads of them, attracted by the light.

Most of them died by the next day, not sure the reason why. Those that didn't die, they were swept and discarded by the housekeeping staff who came to clean outside the room as there were too many insects, mostly moths and cicadas but also Praying Mantis.

In this picture of 4 of them, can see the variation in the green and yellow band on their thorax. Emperor Cicada,Geotagged,Malaysia,Sarawak,Summer,Tacua speciosa
