''Melibe viridis'' is a species of sea slug, a nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Tethydidae.

Appearance

The body reaches a length of 140 mm.
Melibe Nudibranch This is a fairly large size Nudibranch, around 30cm in size. Mostly brownish and translucent in colour.
The genus of this Nudibranch, Melibe has a very interesting feeding habit, it has the oral hood which it can expand to envelope its food, mostly small crustaceans from the sandy surface. Distribution

This species occurs in the Mediterranean Sea, the Red Sea, off Mozambique and off Indonesia.
