Appearance

Female : Tops of head purple; interocular area yellow with 2 small ocelli. Lateral side of head yellow with purple finger-like extension below eyes. Mouth parts green. Antennae purple with 5 white bands. Pronotum and mesonotum purple. Pronotum smooth with lateral margins and posterior half with median line yellow. Mesonotum with yellow lateral margins. Mesonotum granulose. Mseopleura, metapleura; smooth, green with yellow lines and spots. Mesosternum green, slightly granulose. Metasternum green, smooth. Dorsum of termina deep red with yellow medial border and white outer border flanked further laterally by red line and green border. Anterior part of costal area of hind wings green with yellow veins, posterior part of costal part of hind wings purple; between these two bands is thin yellow band. Anal part of hind wings light purple. Abdominal tergites greenish; 7th-9th tergites with yellow or white lateral line and spots. All sternites green. All legs with yellow and purple bands. Apices of femora white. Apex of mesobasitarsus reaches apex of profemur . Apex of metafermur reaches posterior margin of 4th abdominal tergite. Apex of metatarsus exceeds apex of abdomen in all specimens; in some specimens apex of metatibia is at level of tip of cerci. In other specimens apex of 3rd metatarsus reaches same level. 1st basiprotarsus and 1st basimetatarsus exceed length of remainder of their respective tarsomeres combined. 1st basimesotarsus about equal in length to lengths of its remaining tarsomeres combined. Operculum green, shallow lance-like and carinate with notched tip; exceeding anal segment to verying length up to length of anal segment. Anal segment with setose tent-like posterior margin. Lamina supraanalis just protruding. Cerci broad, dorsoventrally flattened and setose, protruding straight backwards and upturned from underneath anal segment.

Pronotum, smooth and mesonotum granulose, both purple with yellow lateral margins. Mesopleura, metapleura; smooth, green with some yellow lines and spots. Mesosternum green, slightly granulose. Metasternum green, smooth. Dorsum of tegmina deep red with purple medial border and white outer border flanked further laterally by green border. Anterior part of costal area of hind wings green, posterior part of costal part of hind wings purple; between these two bands is thin yellow band on radial vein.
