Selagis caloptera

Selagis caloptera

Selagis caloptera is a species of jewel beetle (Buprestidae) found in Eastern Australia.
It is a nectar feeder and so its emergence is associated with flowering.
Selagis caloptera I have seen this in Victoria and North Queensland on daisy bush and hop bush blossoms.
Selagis has strong purple patterns on the elytra. Australia,Geotagged,Selagis,Selagis caloptera,Spring
