Jumping bristletail

Among the first insects on earth, the Archaeognatha are an order of apterygotes, known by various common names such as jumping bristletails. (Apterygota is sometimes applied to a subclass of small, wingless, agile insects).

The body has a distinctive hump over the thorax.
