I only saw it once in a 2 week stay in its habitat, and it took ten days before I finally found it. Boy was I happy that day! Posted 5 years ago
Isn’t it beautiful?! The yellow-throated tanager (Iridosornis analis) is a colorful and aptly named bird. It sports a black face, rust-colored vent, gray belly, and a bright yellow throat that stands out against its otherwise bluish plumage. It can be found in the moist, montane forests of Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia. {Spotted in Peru by JungleDragon moderator, Thibaud Aronson} #JungleDragon #Iridosornisanalis #Yellowthroatedtanager
